LISTEN TO OUR PODCAST INTERVIEW ABOUT CANINE REHABILITATION:

BENEFITS OF PHYSICAL REHABILITATION

Physical Rehabilitation has been a vital component to the recover of human function, after injury, surgery and/or illness since WWI.

Today it is considered part of the standard of care to receive physical rehabilitation when the body has been compromised and function has been lost.  Early intervention is the key to optimizing return to normal activity.

Benefits of initiating early physical rehabilitation:

•Improves circulation which accelerates healing

•Increases muscle mass and strength which improves balance and coordination

•Improves joint and soft tissue flexibility and mobility which increases ability to perform daily activities

  1. Minimizes or eliminates pain which may improve quality of life

  2. Increases speed of recovery

Your Canine Rehabilitation Therapist will provide you with one on one training so you can feel comfortable following prescribed home programs. These programs may include but are not limited to: range of motion, stretching, massage, therapeutic exercise, use of devices/equipment such as ice and laser.

We will also work closely with your Veterinarian to insure the best rehabilitation success possible.
